PRIVACY

Your trip details stay purposeful.

This notice explains how we use itinerary enquiries and saved trip information, and how you can manage it.Effective 13 September 2026

1. Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry, we collect the name, email address and trip details you provide, such as destination, departure city, dates, number of travellers, approximate budget and planning notes.

2. Why we use it

We use this information to review your request, respond to you, prepare or discuss a travel-planning service, track the enquiry's progress and maintain necessary business records.

3. What we do not collect

The enquiry form does not collect card numbers, banking credentials, passport details or payment authentication information. Do not include sensitive identity or payment information in the notes field.

4. Storage and access

Enquiry records are stored with our hosted website database. Access to the management area is restricted to the authorised Out of Office Diaries account. We do not sell enquiry information.

5. Retention

We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond, deliver an agreed service, maintain records or meet applicable obligations. Records that are no longer needed may be removed.

6. Your choices

You may ask us to correct or delete the enquiry information we hold about you, subject to any record we must retain. Email hello@outofofficediaries.in and include your OOO enquiry reference when available.

7. The installable app and this device

When supported by your browser, our app stores a small offline fallback page, its styling, its script and an app icon on your device. This app cache does not store enquiry submissions, account information, payment details or visited travel guides. The website's existing device-local planning preferences may also remain in browser storage. You can remove this data through your browser's site-data settings; uninstalling the icon may not remove all website data. Installing the app does not request camera, microphone, location or notification access.

8. My Trips and shared plans

When you sign in with ChatGPT to save a trip, we associate your plan with your site-specific account identifier. We store its name, dates, traveller count, selected stops, stay, budget, checklist and notes in our hosted database. Your saved trips are private to your account unless you deliberately create a read-only sharing link. Anyone with that link can view the saved plan, including future saved changes. You can turn sharing off or delete the saved trip in its editor. This cannot remove copies someone has already printed or saved.

The editor may keep a temporary unfinished draft in this tab’s session storage so that your edits can survive sign-in or a reload. Drafts older than 24 hours are not restored. This temporary copy does not replace saving to My Trips. Sign-in uses the platform’s authentication flow; we do not collect your ChatGPT password. Our app cache does not store private or shared trip pages.

9. Updates

We may update this notice when our enquiry process or website services change. The effective date displayed on this page identifies the current version.
